Marathon du Vercors

A land of history and remembrance, a world-renowned destination for outdoor sports, and a paradise for Nordic skiing enthusiasts, the northern part of the Vercors Massif—known as "Les Quatre Montagnes"—will host in 2025 the first road marathon in Europe at over 1,000 meters above sea level.

This high-altitude summer marathon winds its way through a unique and preserved natural environment. Far from heatwaves and urban pollution, come and challenge yourself in a Marathon, Half Marathon, or 10K in the land of fir, spruce, and beech trees, as well as the capercaillie and Alpine ibex.

Connecting the evocatively named villages of Villard-de-Lans, Lans-en-Vercors, Autrans, and Méaudre, this is a 100% road course in a 100% green setting. The highlight: the small Croix Perrin pass (1,218 m), linking Lans-en-Vercors to Autrans.

Located just 30 km from Grenoble, 65 km from Valence, and 145 km from Lyon, this is your must-attend road race of the summer!
