A course on tracks without great difficulty takes you to the heart of the Marais poitevin, also known as "Green Venice", with its winding canals, vast stretches of water and lush vegetation.

The departure is from the port of Arçais, a typical village of the Marais poitevin. From the first steps you will be enveloped by the peaceful and wild atmosphere of this unique region. The circuit mainly follows narrow paths through the marshes, offering breathtaking views of the unspoiled natural landscapes.

All along the route, you will cross green meadows, quiet woods and small traditional hamlets. The paths meander through the canals, where you can spot typical rowing boats used by locals to navigate this watery maze. Wildlife abounds in this area, and you may be lucky enough to spot majestic birds such as gray herons or colorful kingfishers.

This course offers you a variety of terrains, with flat portions along the canals, but also more hilly sections through the woods. This makes it an interesting challenge for runners of all levels. With a distance of 17 km, this circuit will allow you to completely immerse yourself in the beauty and tranquility of the Marais poitevin.
