From the start, the route climbs up to the magnificent south face of Montbrison, a well-known climbing spot. Afterwards, a balcony crossing allows you to discover both the Vallouise and Durance valleys, from Briançon and its fortifications to Montdauphin.
After passing through the hamlet of Bouchier nestled at the foot of a rocky cliff, the route gradually gains altitude, reaching the Col de la Trancoulette and then the Col de Vallouise, where the view of Mont Pelvoux is superb. The return to Les Vigneaux is on the adret side of the Vallouise valley, in a forest of Scots pines.

It is essential to respect the work of the farmers, operators and owners who welcome us on their land.

So that the herds don't escape, close all the fences tightly.
Bring back all your garbage,
Don't cut routes through the meadows.
