ExploreOn the border with Spain, 40 kilometres from Andorra, 1h30 from Perpignan and 2 hours from Toulouse, the village overlooks the Vanéra valley, sheltered from the wind by the Poujals hill.
Nestling in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of the Catalan Pyrenees, at the foot of the Puigmal massif, a preserved natural area where forests alternate with wide open spaces, Osséja is a most pleasant place to rest and enjoy a holiday open to numerous sports and leisure activities, both in summer and winter.
Its century-old communal forest stretches from 1300 to over 2000 metres above sea level and offers 30 kilometres of forest roads and 40 kilometres of footpaths to be explored on foot, mountain bike or snowshoes.
If you take the forest road you will reach the mythical "borne 504", the border with Spain and the panoramic centre of southern Catalonia.
