About

Protected by the mountain ranges of Aralar, Urbasa and Andía, in the north-west of Navarra, lies the  valley of Sakana, a long corridor of green meadows and ancient oak and beech woods formed by the Burunda-Arakil river. In the centre rises mount Beriain, also known as San Donato.

Since ancient times, the region has been an important route of communication, here he spent the Bordeaux-Astorga Roman road and the Way of Primitive Santiago.

Strolling through the streets of the towns of Sakana, visitors can enjoy fountains, squares, churches, balconies full of flowers and numerous emblazoned houses eighteenth century.
